There's no single price for booking a comedian, because no two events are the same. Instead of a flat rate, a fair quote is built from a few factors. Here's what actually drives the cost, so you know what to expect before you reach out.
Type of event and audience size. A small private party, a packed corporate banquet, and a theater fundraiser each call for different preparation and presence. Larger and higher-stakes events generally involve more.
Length of the performance. A 20-minute opening set, a full 45 to 60 minute headline show, and hosting an entire evening are priced differently. More stage time means more material and more preparation.
Date, day, and time. Prime dates, weekend evenings, and the holiday season are in higher demand than a random Tuesday in February. Flexibility on timing can help.
Travel and lodging. Marko is based in Chicagoland and travels nationwide. Events within the Chicago area keep travel costs minimal; events farther out factor in travel and, when needed, lodging.
Custom requests. Want a strictly clean set, material tailored to your company or guest of honor, or hosting plus a headline set combined? Custom work is part of what shapes a quote.
The simplest way to get a real number is to share your event details. Email book@markothecomic.com with your date, location, event type, and desired length, and you'll receive a clear, all-in quote, no hidden fees, no haggling, no "service charge" that mysteriously appears at the end.
